A Prayer for the New Year

Come, Holy Spirit,
Spirit of the Risen Christ,
Be with us today and always.
Be our Light, our Guide,
And our Comforter.
Be our Strength, our Courage,
And our Sanctifier.

May this new year be a time
Of deep spiritual growth for us,
A time of welcoming
Your graces and gifts,
A time for forgiving freely
And unconditionally,
A time for growing
In virtue and goodness.

Come, Holy Spirit,
Be with us today and always.
Amen.

Not a happy new year 2012!!!

with just about four hours to the new year, i am certain its not going to be a happy year for Kenyans.

i have a long list on my mind but these are just but the few i can write;
1. No fireworks (not important)
2. Transport sector nightmare (going back to workplaces from ocha)
3. Hague six this year (whether they go or not)
4. 2012 election, but there's no reconciliation yet
5. Sky-rocketing fuel prices (hence increase in other prices)
6. Tribal politics (set to hit its optimum this year)
7. there is drought coming!
8. Floods are coming
9. We have unsettled IDPs
10. Kenya is at war with Al shabaab

On the positive side, however, God is for us, so who dare stand against us?

Anyway, hizi ni siasa za peni mbili za ja mtaa!

Miguna Back?! not surprised.

i was not surprised to hear that Miguna Miguna (double M) was re appointed to his former position after being cleared of all wrongdoing..

if the whole thing was not a political stunt then what moral lesson have we learnt from the whole thing?
by the way, which commission was that that cleared him? i dont quite remember...

someone was telling me that the man threatened to "toboa siri".. i have no comment to that effect. i wonder what was there to be "tobolewad" or to be "fichwad"

i have to give credit to Raila though. taking double M back is quite a stunt. makes him look like a just man, a man who believes in the system, and maybe a forgiving man.

in the meantime, let us just watch the space and see what happens.

kivuitu on NTV

seeing kivuitu on NTV news Thursday 29th 2012 shall remain on my mind for a long time to come.

i was so sorry to hear that he has throat cancer and i wish him the best of luck fighting it and i pray to God to have mercy on him.

having said that, i couldnt help but notice that the man is still arrogant.. i wonder why some people never have remorse.

another thing that i couldnt help notice was the way Joe Ageyo was trying to get the man to confess that he messed up the 2007 elections. even though he denied it, Joe was not even convinced a bit, one could tell.

in as much as Mr Kivuitu would want to defend himself, he should tell us the truth. if a gun was held to his head when he was making the announcement, then he should tell us. if not, then the buck stops with him.

the worst thing is when he is asked what he would do differently given the same situation and he anwers- nothing!! hapo naye... unatudanganya...

no kenyan in his or her right mind would like to see a repeat of what happened in 2007. the loss of lives, torching of homes, be headings, massive displacement of people, destruction of property, the slump in the economy....( kenyans went a decade behind!)

the people who destroyed property and torched homes and killed must be condemned but he should not deny he did nothing wrong. He is lucky God forgives all sin equally..

anyway, hizi ni siasa za peni mbili za ja mtaa!

politics is just crazzzy!

News that Mr. William Ruto could consider-just considering, forming an alliance with Raila Odinga is just sick!!

i mean, these two have treated us to real drama the past three or so years (notably, they dont miss on heka-heka)

if this is true, then what do these people think we are?

it is not that i dont like to see a peaceful election or that i dont want Kenyans to co-exist, its just that these two should have NOT TREATED US TO ALL THAT.....

anyway. these are just siasa za peni mbili za ja mtaa!
