Throwing out kalonzo was the worst mistake for G7

Recent developments in the G7 alliance have all but indicated that Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka is no longer in the alliance.

Despite last week's face saving meeting in one of the hotels, it is still clear that the two "principals" of the alliance: Uhuru and Ruto are not ready to accommodate the VP.

In as much as picking Kalonzo Musyoka for VP was not a guarantee to the presidency, throwing him out just confirmed that the two will not have an ally at state house this time.

Seen by many as an opportunist and a man who waited to benefit from the plight of others, the VP provided a "clean" candidate to the G7 which the two seem not to have.

Eugene Wamalwa

The Saboti mp might have also seen that the G7 alliance does not have a space for "lightweights" like him and that the two "bigwigs" called all the shots.

Even though he has denied seeking an alliance with Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene is set to finally leave the G7 alliance to find a spot as the running mate for the VP.

Western province hostile for Eugene

The hinted alliance between ODM and Wetangula's Ford Kenya has also complicated matters for the young Wamalwa.

He might be seen as the only one who is outside "the block" (ODM+Ford Kenya) hence lose his bargaining chip.

Stranded

Uhuru and Ruto will likely be stranded for a candidate when the courts or the IEBC blocks them from standing. By that time, Kalonzo shall have left, Wamalwa his running mate, Makwere gone (or present but non consequential)

The one other person who might have a field day but in my opinion cannot clinch the presidency is Tuju Raphael.

It is now time for the VP to rebrand and try to shed off the funny funny tags he has been given.
