In fact, Miguna is a shortcut to Raila’s entering of state house!
For the past five years, Raila has suffocated in the corridors of government for lack of “political breathing space”. The government is riddled with controls and measures that make sure that politicians like Odinga who are impulsive and haphazard do not make mistakes.
This condition has been the one undoing of Odinga but it seems this is almost over since Miguna began creating the crises.
Raila feeds off crisis moments and works best under the “cornered cat” situation which he is in right now. That part of him which was almost forgotten until recently is what makes him Raila Odinga. If you want to finish him, you don’t create a crisis, you pat his back and deceive him that everything is alright and he surely will fall asleep.
Raila knows this is his last shot at the presidency, and trust me, he is not going to let Miguna ruin it. Instead the poor guy from Nyando is going to clear the way for him.
