ODM is set to redeem its image as the most Democratic party when it holds its primaries which will be a copy cut of the US system.
The US Republicans are currently in the race for the party ticket that will pick one of them to run against president Obama. Kenyans also still remember the much publicised race for the Democratic ticket when Obama won against Hillary Clinton.
In Kenya, the race will go to the counties where the two big wigs will flex their muscles against each other.
Even though Mudavadi is not likely to win the race, this will set a good precedence for party elections in Kenya.
Even though this is still not in ODM's constitution, the party is set to accommodate these changes when they converge their NDC. This race will be very interesting to watch.
Counties in the Rift Valley, Central and of course Western are set to be a big headache to the Prime Minister. This is because of the constant rivalry he has faced from these areas.
He will however have an easy ride in Nyanza, Nairobi, Coast, North Eastern, Eastern.
